A quilt made from hand-dyed, ecoprinted and screenprinted cotton. The dyes and pigments are made from leaves foraged along the C&O canal in Hancock, Maryland, as well as indigo. The quilt documents the economic fortunes of the town of Hancock, which has seen the shipment routes of the canal, the railroad, and the highway successively change and eventually bypass the town.
